The Challenge:
Boca Terry received a call from a Florida hospital affiliated with one of the world’s most renowned healthcare and medical research institutions. This particular location was looking to purchase bathrobes to enhance their patient experience, and their current textile vendor did not have a robe that met their needs.
The Process:
We introduced the hospital supply chain manager to the Medi-Robe, Boca Terry’s groundbreaking, easily customizable robe, which we designed specifically for the healthcare industry. The medical center decision-makers were impressed with the Medi-Robe’s versatility and its most distinguishable, never-before-seen feature: a series of plastic snaps on the sleeves from cuff to collar, allowing hospital staff to administer IVs and perform blood pressure tests without removing the robe. The nursing staff also appreciated the thoughtful design of the chest pocket, which conveniently accommodates a heart monitor and, with an added slit in the pocket, also disguises the wire.
The Solution:
Confident that this was a winning solution—and one guaranteed to increase their patients’ overall satisfaction—the hospital ordered the Medi-Robe in the Microfiber style with thin plush lining for added comfort. The Microfiber robe is a common fixture at 4- and 5-star hotels and resorts throughout the globe. Now that our bathrobes have been implemented hospital-wide, the medical center has garnered a new nickname: the “Hotel.”
To the staff’s surprise, patients began to take the robes home with them upon their release. Anticipating prolonged at-home recovery periods, many patients wanted to have the same comfort and flexibility at home, and their personal care aides would appreciate the added convenience. So, the hospital administration decided to sell the Medi-Robe in the gift shop as well.

Going Green Can Be Inorganic…
The Challenge:
A green hotel sought out to find a line of towels, bathrobes and other spa products for its rooms that maintained the environmentally friendly standards of the property. Simple enough, just slap an organic label on a robe right? But so wrong, where’s the fun in that? BT was given the task to develop a “green bathrobe” without using organic cotton.
The Process:
Boca Terry worked with this green hotel client and researched the various materials or compositions available to manufacture environmentally friendly “green” bathrobes without defaulting to organic cotton. At the end of the process, BT discovered that the products needed for these robes and towels already existed, they just needed to be composed in a different way.
The Solution:
Boca Terry developed a micro-terry robe solely made from recycled plastic bottles! Now the hotel’s recycled micro-terry bathrobes are branded with Boca Terry’s green “Recycle” symbol on the inside tag, indicating the hotel’s bathrobes genuinely Green.

The Challenge:
Boca Terry noticed increases in hourly labor wages across the globe and anticipated soaring cotton prices that could potentially have a detrimental impact on clients. With all of the additional concerns a general manager of a luxury 500 suite hotel or spa has in today’s fast paced climate, imagine their surprise to find out a simple line item in the budget for bathrobes, towels or spa wraps could increase by 10% in a year’s time.
The Process:
Boca Terry teamed up with its creative design team and fabric suppliers to engineer a new fabric that would require the use of less cotton without compromising the plush softness of the robe.
The Solution:
The end result turned into one of the company’s most popular and affordable bathrobe lines. BT’s foresight of cotton inflation kept the company ahead of the curve with a perfect solution and our clients benefited when Boca Terry Microtec robes were introduced to the marketplace.
Fit For the Dogg Father…
The Challenge:
When hip-hop recording artist and entrepreneur, Snoop Dogg’s product development team decided they wanted to develop a custom bathrobe line to be sold on the online retail store, the $noopermarket, they came to their promotional products distributor, who called Boca Terry to help offer solutions. The online store wanted to offer a robe that had the dark mystique of professional fighter as he enters the ropes yet exude confidence and comfort similar to Hugh Hefner, a robe good enough to grace the shoulders of the infamous Dogg Father himself.
The Process:
Snoop’s team was very discerning when it came to the robe’s design and quality. Boca Terry worked hand in hand with the distributor that worked directly with his team to develop a custom robe that was worthy of his name while keeping it at a reasonable price point for the online retail store. Boca Terry tested various fabrics and dark colors with contrasting and tone on tone embroidery.
The Solution:
The finished product was a men’s black hooded robe with a rich gold embroidered, “Snoop Dogg”, across the shoulders on the back of the robe. The robe is available with an entire store full of Snoop Dogg gear for sale at www.Snoopermarket.com.
