Placide Buduri grew up in Kigali, the capital of Rwanda,
known as “The Land of a Thousand Hills”.
He was one of five siblings; three sisters and one brother. His family grew up speaking Kinyarwanda (Rwandee), French, Swahili and English.
His family moved to Texas from Kigali in August 2007. It was a major adjustment, learning the language and the new way of life in the States.
BT: Is there a specific philosophy in life you see yourself living by? How has that helped you succeed?
I love the four agreements by Miguel Ruiz:
Be Impeccable with Your Word.
Don’t Take Anything Personally.
Don’t Make Assumptions.
Always Do Your Best.
Those philosophies apply to everyday life and they have kept me grounded throughout my life and career so far.
